| Route Schedules |
| Which route schedule should I choose? |
There are many routes in the system, and it can be difficult to figure out which schedule to view. One way to narrow your search is to look at the main routes page and read the descriptions. This may help you decide which route is right for you. If you know which stop you want to leave from, or arrive at, you can go to that stop’s page, and take a look at which routes stop at that particular bus stop. Or, you can simply use the plan a trip page to let the web site decide your itinerary for you.
|
| Stops |
| How do I find the stop closest to my house? |
If, after browsing through the list of stops, you can not find one that is close to your home, you should contact Mid Mon Valley Transit for further assistance.
|
| What does inbound/outbound mean? |
Many routes generally travel inbound towards the downtown area, and then turn around and travel outbound, away from the downtown area. When boarding a bus, make sure that it is traveling in the direction you want to go. When you plan a trip using this website, you will see the direction that the bus will be traveling. To make sure, you should always check the signage on the bus. If you are still unsure, ask the driver.
|
| What is a flag/demand stop? |
Sometimes, a bus will pass a stop on its route, but not always stop there. If you wish to get on the bus at one of these stops, make sure you get to the bus stop early, and wave your hand to flag the driver. If you wish to get off of the bus at one of these stops, make sure to let the driver know, so that he does not pass your stop.
|
| What should I choose for “maximum transfers”? |
This decision is really up to you. If you do not want to transfer at all, then choose zero. This, however, may limit your travel options. A good rule of thumb is to set the maximum transfers to one, and if you do not see any results, then try that trip again with up to two transfers.
|
| Trip Planning |
| How come when I search for trips I don’t get any results? |
There could be several reasons that you don’t see any results. Firstly, you should try searching again and allowing more transfers. There is not always a direct route between two points. If you have tried this, and still do not see any results, try searching again at a different time. Weekend and evening service is not as complete as weekday, daytime service. If this still does not yield any results, try changing the starting or ending location. If you can not find a satisfactory trip, please use the feedback form to let us know. This information will help us serve you better in the future. If you do not see any results, but you think that the web site has made a mistake, use the feedback form to let us know. At any time you can comment on your trip results by clicking the link on the right side of the trip results page.
|
| When should I choose to view real time delay information with my trip? |
If you plan to catch the bus immediately, it is probably a good idea to view real time delay information. If you are not planning to board the bus in the next half an hour, or so, the delay information will probably not be accurate.
